Does your dog need a behaviorist because he is aggressive? A study done by the University of Pennsylvania, states that the number one reason a dog is taken to a behaviorist is to break the aggressive behavior problem. The study also noted that confrontational training to correct the problem did little, if anything to improve the situation. In most cases, it did not break the aggressive behavior and in some cases, made it worse. The case study also showed that if the owner was aggressive, the dog would be too.
